Saltare plan to make Exeter a Centre of Business Intelligence Excellence

Business intelligence (BI) consultancy Saltare have started their plans to turn Exeter into a ‘National Centre of Business Intelligence Excellence’ by signing their first affiliate partner.

Their affiliation with South West Business Intelligence (SWBI) was agreed on 16th March, 2017, and means businesses in the South West are now able to get maximum benefit from their BI technology.

Exeter set for International Ideas Festival

An international Ideas Festival for Business, held in London and New York is coming to Exeter, it was announced today.

The influential Like Minds Ideas Festival will arrive in Exeter in September, with business leaders and speakers from the US, Europe and the UK taking part.

It will be held at Exeter Castle on Friday September 29th, after a speakers and sponsors welcome dinner the evening before. Board of Exeter Science Park has announced the appointment of Dr Sally Basker as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Exeter businesses Slingshot Six Ltd, Wellity and Speedy Freight Exeter have made it to the final of Devon’s Fast Track to Growth Programme.

Fifteen companies across the county have been selected from over 60 entries to the free business support programme backed by Devon County Council, to help them develop their plans for growth in 2017. Record year for new business In Devon

New figures just out show that more new companies were registered in Devon during 2016 than in any previous year.

A total of 5,703 new businesses were established in the county compared to 5,394 in 2015.

The number of registered companies in Devon now totals 47,095, up from 44,917 at the end of 2015, which equates to 4.8% growth.

The statistics come from the Inform Direct Review of UK Company Formations, using data from Companies House and the Office of National Statistics.
