Training event for city’s young professionals

Exeter Junior Chamber, part of Exeter Chamber of Commerce, is holding its next event at Exeter Library on Tuesday 21 October, 4pm-6pm. The event will be a training session with Business Coach Judy Salmon on how to ‘manage and present well at meetings’.

The training session, aimed at young professionals aged between 20-35 years old, will cover important aspects of presenting at meetings including how to communicate effectively, structure information and ensure success.

Exeter businesses indicate an end to the employee pay freeze

The latest Exeter Business Survey, carried out by Exeter Chamber of Commerce, shows the highest ever percentage of Exeter businesses planning to increase employees salaries.

90% of businesses surveyed said they will not be implementing a pay freeze for their staff, the highest figure since the survey began in March 2007.

Exeter Chamber of Commerce and Industry met with the Bank of England, on 18 September 2014 to report the findings of their Business Survey, for the last quarter.

The Exeter Chamber of Commerce’s April Networking lunch held on 17 April was a sell-out success. The theme of this lunch - ‘Exeter - the South West’s most sustainable city’ - brought together a huge variety of over 110 businesses.

Inspiration and innovation at ExIST's quarterly meeting

The new Cranbrook development, the Science Park, Skypark and Intermodal Freight Terminal were all discussed at Exeter Initiative for Science and Technology's (ExIST) quarterly event, held on Wednesday 23rd January at The Flybe Training Academy.

Network Central returns to Sandy Park

Network Central, the giant business-to-business exhibition, is returning to Exeter in November.

Among the highlights of the event promises to be a talk by Sally Hurst, the owner and founder of The Old Bag company, who is also the wife of Burts Chips’ founder Nick.

The free-to-attend event, at Sandy Park on Thursday, 29th November, also features a host of expert speakers on a wide range of subjects from business growth to the local press and media.
