Hooker Jack Yeandle admitted it was an “easy decision” to pen a new contract extension with the Exeter Chiefs.

Signed in 2012 from Championship side Doncaster Knights, the 25-year-old forward has quickly settled to Aviva Premiership and European rugby life with his hometown club - and his influence, both on and off the field, was recently rewarded by head coach Rob Baxter, who entrusted him with the role of club captain for the new season.

A key figure in the recent rise of the Devon club, Yeandle has already amassed 50 appearances in English rugby’s top flight, as well as...

Dean Mumm admits it will be with a heavy heart that he will bring to an end his Exeter Chiefs career at the end of the 2014/15 season.

Mumm has been a revelation at Sandy Park ever since he joined the Chiefs in 2012 and his actions, both on and off the field, have won him many admirers....

Exeter Chiefs star Jack Nowell says he has never "felt so good" on a rugby pitch after he marked his return to competitive action by claiming a try-double in Monday night's A League victory over London Welsh.

The England international has been sidelined since March with injuries to both his shoulder and knee, but he showed within minutes of his return that he was firing on all cylinders and itching to return to first team duty.

The Cornishman featured for 34 minutes as the Exeter Braves - who also added tries through Ceri Sweeney, Tom James, Jack Arnott, Sam Skinner and...

Phase One works to begin at Sandy Park

Phase One of Exeter Rugby Club’s multi-million pound redevelopment of their Sandy Park Stadium is to begin early in the New Year, officials have today confirmed. After months of behind the scenes activity, including raising in excess of £7.5m through the Exeter Chiefs 2020 Bond, the green light has now been given for the planned works to begin. Earlier this year the Chiefs unveiled their ambitious, long-term plans to transform Sandy Park into a state-of-the-art stadium that would not only see the ground capacity double to that of 20,600 – but also involve the building of three new...
