Life Education Wessex is calling on golfers to join its Charity Golf Day on Thursday 8th June 2017 at Woodbury Park Golf Club, Exeter, to raise vital funds to support health, wellbeing and drug education for local children.

The golf day is taking place thanks to the sponsorship of CAP Ceilings & Partitioning Ltd of Exeter and they are inviting other local business and community supporters to join in with opportunities to sponsor holes and golf buggies.

Exeter Library’s FabLab is hosting a programme of hands-on digital making events and workshops, specifically designed for children and young people.

East Devon District Council is delighted to announce that the 2017 events guide for Countryside has been published.

The guide, which runs from April through to September, is jam-packed with outdoor events and activities for all ages, which will take place across the district.

East Devon District Council and LED are proud to announce that Seaton’s new Jurassic themed adventure golf course at Seafield Gardens, is now ready for play and will be opened officially at 10.30am on Friday 7 April, although people will be able to play on it from 1 April 2017.

Built on the site of the former putting green, the course’s eye-catching design features plenty of fun Jurassic themed course decorations and timber or stone obstacles, in the shape of stone fossils, dinosaur bones, dinosaur eggs, rocks/boulders and fossil style edging of the golfing areas.

History of much loved East Devon parks and gardens will be captured for posterity thanks to Heritage Lottery Fund award of £9,500

Interpretation panels for each of East Devon District Council’s eight parks and gardens are currently being developed by the council using information provided by local museums and local community members/groups. Exeter Northcott Theatre is looking for local children to join the cast of its recently announced family pantomime Dick Whittington.

The theatre is searching for talented young male and female actors, aged between 10 and 15 on 1st September 2017, to take acting, singing and dancing roles in the show.
