The pretty South Devon coastal town of Dawlish is readying itself for walkers of all ages and abilities as its inaugural walking festival gets ready to ramble from the start of April.
Lasting ten days and commencing on 1st April, the festival will offer more than 30 walks, most of which are free to join. Incorporating a variety of special interests and walks of different lengths, the Festival will take in pretty lanes, the South West Coast Path, woodlands, beaches and much more. Sociable beach clean organised by Devon Wildlife Trust, plus recording everything that is collected as part of the Marine Conservation Society’s national monitoring.

Discover the birds and bugs living along the coast on this family event led by curators, experts and enthusiasts. Hunt in the sand dunes for coastal beetles and spiders or sit and watch the birds. A joint event between RAMM, Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery and the RSPB.
11am-2pm. Meet at Dawlish Warren train station.
