With the school holidays fast-approaching, Newton Abbot Racecourse will be celebrating the start of summer with an extra-special treat for racing lovers at their Family Fun Raceday on Sunday 23 July.
Alongside seven thrilling summer jumps races to entertain racing fans, the racecourse will be offering a rare chance to see behind the scenes on a raceday with their free behind the scenes tour.

Finish the day on a high with an evening at the races on Tuesday 30 May, the first of four evening fixtures to take place at Newton Abbot Racecourse this season. Gates open at 15.50 ahead of the first race at 17.50. The final race of the day will take place at 20.50. Tickets are available online now priced at £19 for the Paddock Enclosure and £12 for the Course Enclosure. The Bear Trail is an innovative and challenging outdoor adventure trail, masterminded by Ben Jordan, a former Captain who served for 5 years in The Rifles regiment of the British Army.
Set over a 10 acre site in Wescott, near Cullompton, The Bear Trail features over 16 separate obstacles where children (and adults!) can run, jump and climb their way across zig-zag bridges, high nets and bear-infested mud pits. Want to spend more quality time with your children outdoors? Then why not join the Family Adventure Club, a brand new club for the whole family packed with fun and excitement in the woods.
Family Adventure Club will be led by Hannah Standen, from A Touch of the Wild who has been inspiring groups of children, young people and adults in the outdoors since 2005.
They will be playing games, exploring the woods, tracking wild animals, building dens, lighting campfires and lots more.
