Top tips to avoid a Christmas debt hangover

As Christmas approaches, local charity Exeter Citizens Advice Bureau is helping people avoid Christmas debt hangovers by sharing their top ten tips for keeping festive finances in check.

Exeter Citizens Advice Bureau Chief Executive Steve Barriball, said:

“We all want to have the best possible Christmas. It's important to be savvy when shopping and to be aware of how spending pans out.”

Come and get some free advice over a coffee as the Cafe at 36 in Cowick Street, St Thomas, Exeter hosts the Exeter Citizens' Advice Bureau, on Wednesday 24th October 2012, at 2.30 pm. Four volunteers will be available from the Bureau to help people wanting to find out more information about accessing cheaper energy as well as general advice and signposting about welfare, employment, debt, credit and loans.

There will be access to the internet so that the volunteers may demonstrate the help available. People will be able to pick up leaflets and fact sheets to take away.
