14-year-old boy shaken by attempted robbery in Seaton

Officers are investigating an attempted robbery on a 14-year-old boy in Seaton.

The Seaton schoolboy was walking along Valley View on 3 January when he was approached from behind by a man who grabbed him by the jumper and tried to snatch his iPhone.

The phone fell to the ground and the offender made off empty-handed towards the fire station.

The boy was left very shaken by the incident which happened around 5.35pm and the phone was damaged.

£1.1 million will help develop products from super-material

New ways of making and using the wonder material graphene will be identified through pioneering work by engineers and scientists at the University of Exeter and Bath at the Centre for Graphene Science.

A man from Exeter is hoping to organise a jazz concert in aid of Hospiscare but is in need of funding from local businesses.

Wayne Hill has been inspired to organise this charity event after losing family and friends to cancer. He needs local businesses in Exeter to help support this event by funding for jazz bands and singers, technicians and tickets.

He is hoping to run the event in the Voodoo Lounge at the Phoenix Art Centre, on 10th August 2013.
