A woman out running with her partner has been seriously injured after running into a rope that had been deliberately tied across the pathway on a footbridge, near to Double Locks in Exeter. The woman, aged 33, is understood to have suffered a serious neck injury and is in hospital. Her condition is being described as stable but serious. This event is aimed at promoting the Samsung Bike Week and encouraging as many people to get on or get back on a bike for Sunday 23 June.
The day will start at 9am from the Double Locks Pub Garden, we will encourage people to park at the Canal Bridges car park and cycle to meet us. The ride will set off between 9am and 10am. A friendly team of staff from exeplore limited, the kayakhub and sustrans will be able to assist with cycling tuition and bike checks if required.
