People with Down's syndrome have their say

The Down's Syndrome Association (DSA) is launching an exciting project called 'Having a Voice' in the South West.

This proactive scheme enables people with Down's syndrome to contribute to both local and national policy, to directly influence the national charity and to share their life experiences. Not only does this give people with Down's syndrome a united voice, it is the perfect place to develop new friendships and build stronger links within the community.

The first meeting is on May 17th in Newton Abbot and there are already people signed up from across the region...

Formula 1 world champion comes to Exeter

Damon Hill OBE will be visiting Sandy Park, Exeter on 6 February 2015 to host an exclusive event on behalf of the Down’s Syndrome Association and Down Syndrome International.

Following a champagne reception and dinner, Damon will give an intimate insight into the driving forces in his private life that led to his successful motor racing career and ultimately to him becoming Formula One world Champion in 1996.

During this unique evening, there will be opportunities for the audience to ask Damon questions and to bid for exclusive Formula One experiences and memorabilia....
