South West Prays – Christians watch online this Easter Sunday

In what is a first for the region - Christian leaders across the whole of the South West are taking part in special online prayer event this Easter Sunday.

The event called South West Prays will see thousands of Christians from across the area tune in at 8pm to take part and participate.

It’s thought this could be the biggest prayer event that has ever taken place in the region.

Easter holiday fun at A la Ronde

The fun begins at A la Ronde this Easter with a family-friendly trail starting on Saturday 5 April. The trail runs in the grounds daily until Sunday 21 April and costs £1.50. Sponsored by Cadburys, there is a free chocolate egg for every participant.

Diocese tweets the Passion

The Diocese of Exeter has been tweeting the whole passion story, from Palm Sunday, and will continue until sunrise on Easter Sunday. The story has been rewritten for tweeting in the first person and from Jesus’s perspective and will be sent out in ‘real time’ throughout Holy Week. Pinhoe school pupils to learn about waste and recycling

School children from Pinhoe Primary School, Exeter, will be visiting their local recycling centre on Monday 11th February to find out what happens to our waste.

The group of 8 to 11 year olds will be at the award-winning Pinbrook Road Recycling Centre to learn what happens to paper, glass, cans, plastic and other recycling when it is brought into the site, where it goes and how it is made into new items.
