Exeter Racecourse’s Family Day on April 2 looks set to be one of the best free days out for children during the Easter holidays. And with two adults tickets available for just £15, it’s without doubt one of the best value for money days there is.

There are stacks of things for children to enjoy, including a behind the scenes tour of the racecourse, a running race down the home straight on the race course, face painting, a quiz, the chance to go on an equine simulator and pretend you’re a jockey and question and answer sessions with some of the country’s top jockeys.

Jurassic Coast Gateway nearing completion

Exmouth is taking pride of place at the Western end of the Jurassic Coast as finishing touches are applied to the Jurassic Coast Gateway.

The £500,000 scheme will be completed in time for the Easter holidays, transforming the Orcombe area of Exmouth and highlighting its status as the oldest part of the World Heritage Site.

Devon County Council has funded the improvements, working in partnership with East Devon District Council, Exmouth Town Council, the National Trust and Clinton Devon Estates, and in liaison with the Jurassic Coast and South West Coast Path Teams.

Cracking football fun for children this Easter

Portable Athletics Track to launch at Princesshay in Exeter

South West Athletics Academy is pleased to announce the launch of its new portable athletics track surface. To celebrate the launch, a sprint challenge is being held at Exeter’s Princesshay on Saturday 30 March from 10am – 5pm, with all welcome to come and try out the new surface.

Essential work to start on Exeter High Street next week

Essential work to address persistent drainage and subsidence problems in Exeter’s High Street is scheduled to start next week, Wednesday 16th January until Thursday 28 March.

New work, to be completed before Easter, will see new gullies and pipework installed along the length of the road from Queen Street to Broadgate.
