Sugru smashes Crowdcube record

Sugru, the world’s first mouldable ‘glue’, closed its crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube after raising £3,548,820 from 2,700 investors.

In the process this campaign has smashed two equity crowdfunding records with the largest single investment of £1 million and by having the widest reach with stakeholders in 68 countries. The pitch overfunded 355% above the original target.

Famous Dartmoor game fishing beats for sale

A five mile-plus stretch of one of the West Country’s most famous game fishing rivers running through Dartmoor has come up for sale through fisheries sales experts Fenn Wright.

The three beats on the River Teign, 10 miles from Exeter, are renowned for their trout and salmon catches, and are offered at a total guide price of £300,000.

East Devon council consider relocation

East Devon District Council is considering relocating its headquarters to Skypark.

The decision, taken by cabinet on 5 February, will now be put forward as the preferred location to full council on 26 February. If approved, officers will be asked to carry out further research into the viability of the move. Marketing of Knowle would start promptly.

This is an important step forward and a further report would then be brought back to cabinet and full council before a final decision is made in the summer.
