A town in Kent is burning a 30ft effigy of former Apprentice contestant Katie Hopkins in its annual bonfire night celebrations.
The giant steel framed model will be stuffed with fireworks and oil stuffed paper before being lit on Saturday (2 November).
Devon based Hopkins has drawn widespread criticism for her views childhood obesity and children’s names is the latest in a long line of famous (and infamous) figures to be burnt in the Kent town of Edenbridge.
Former guy’s include Wayne Rooney, disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong and Cherie Blair.
Firework phobia could be a thing of the past for pet dogs according to the RSPCA, which is bracing itself for another busy bonfire night season.
The charity regularly receives more than three-quarters of all calls about fireworks in October and November, when Guy Fawkes and Diwali celebrations are in full swing.
Last year there were 326 fireworks related calls in those two months alone. That is 75% of the 436 received across the whole year.

Every year on 5 November for reasons lost in antiquity, the Flaming Tar Barrels are carried through the streets of Ottery St Mary to the delight of thousands of townsfolk and visitors.
Ottery St Mary is internationally renowned for its Tar Barrels, an old custom said to have originated in the 17th century. Each of Ottery's central public houses sponsors a single barrel. In the weeks prior to the day of the event the barrels are soaked with tar. The barrels are lit outside each of the pubs in turn and once the flames begin to pour out, they are hoisted up onto local people's backs...

What a great night we had on 5th November, courtesy of The Exeter Daily. I just can't believe how much money must have been spent on the fireworks, the pictures on this site are great but don't do the event full justice. The display went on for ages and the fireworks were spectacular from start to finish, towards the end it was mind-blowing with lots all being set off at the same time and merging together in the cold night sky. Great that it was a clear night, even though very cold.
Thank you Round Table, well worth a visit and I will be coming again next year !
