Those travelling to France between now and Monday 30 June may be left disappointed, with Flybe cancelling some flights due to strikes taking place in the country.
Flybe reported, via their website, that French Unions have called for an official six-day strike scheduled to take place in France between 0400 (French local time) on June 24 and 0400 (French local time) on June 30, 2014.
Flybe have been requested, by the French aviation authorities, to reduce their flying programme. This means a number of flight cancellations to the country are to be expected.
Flybe has returned to profits after a major shake up of the Exeter-based business.
The airline reported pre-tax profits of £8.1m in the year to the end of March, up from a £41.1m pre-tax loss in the previous year. Total revunue rose 11pc to £868.4m.

Flybe have confirmed that they are to cease operations on four major ‘sun routes’ flying from Exeter Airport, from October. Direct flights between London and Exeter are set to begin this October as part of a major expansion deal by locally-based airline Flybe. Flybe is looking to raise up to £150 million though a share issue to invest in the group in a move announced today. The offer for 141,501,920 new ordinary shares, costing 110p per share is hoped to raise money for a new investment to improve the company’s customer services and infrastructure. Exeter airline Flybe will cut around 50 fewer jobs than initially expected as their business turnaround shows early signs of success.
The airline had initially proposed cutting 500 jobs as part of its turnaround plan revealed last November, but now says current cuts will be closer to 450.
Much of these savings have been made by cutting several unprofitable routes to remove the operating costs of the routes such as fuel and staff wages.
However this has incurred one off grounding costs of £14 million this year with a further one off costs of £26 milllion next year....
A Flybe plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Paris on Saturday due to “minor technical” difficulties.
The service from the Exeter-based airline was returning skiers from Geneva to Cardiff when the flight was forced to land at Paris Orly international at around 4pm (January 4).

A flight by Exeter based Airline, Flybe had a “near-miss” while landing earlier this year according to a report by the Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB).
The Flybe plane was carrying more than 60 passengers when it came within 894ft (272.4m) of an obstacle thought to be the Runcorn Bridge while landing at John Lennon Airport in Liverpool.
