The Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink is a three-day festival celebrating the outstanding food and drink of the South West, featuring more than one hundred regional producers, top chefs, workshops, live music and food-themed activities for all the family.

The festival, co-founded years ago by two-Michelin starred chef Michael Caines, is the perfect opportunity to get a real taste of the South West, to meet the people behind the produce, and to enjoy a foodie day or weekend in beautiful surroundings.

Unavailable anywhere else in the country, this unique break gives guests the chance to experience an entirely Paleo friendly escape.

The Magdalen Chapter will be offering a decadent pancake feast this Shrove Tuesday.

On Tuesday 17 February, not only will a full pancake menu be on offer throughout the day in the hotel restaurant, but a pancake inspired cocktail will be served in the bar too.

At breakfast, choose between classic American pancakes served with bluberry compote or bacon and maple syrup. Award winning local cookery school and school catering company, Fun Kitchen and Fresha, today announced the launch of a new joint healthy eating venture for schoolchildren in and around Exeter.

The new ‘Teach and Eat’ programme has been set up to help primary schools deliver healthy eating through fun hands-on classroom cookery teaching and fresh locally sourced school meals to eat.
