Football Festival success

Teams of young footballers from Exeter and a visiting team from Plymouth took part in a mini soccer festival last weekend, hosted by Devon Football Association.

The nine teams across two age groups fought hard for the top spot, with U9 winners Central beating West Exe in their final, and U10 winners SB Frankfort from Plymouth beating City Raiders.

Visitors to Fresha Café at Sowton can look forward to receiving an extra-warm welcome from new Front of House Manager, Becky Collins.

Becky has been with the popular café and catering business for two years and has already enjoyed a rapid rise within the company structure, from her initial job as café assistant at the Fresha Deli on Honiton Road to running the busy kitchens at Sowton.

Award winning local cookery school and school catering company, Fun Kitchen and Fresha, today announced the launch of a new joint healthy eating venture for schoolchildren in and around Exeter.

The new ‘Teach and Eat’ programme has been set up to help primary schools deliver healthy eating through fun hands-on classroom cookery teaching and fresh locally sourced school meals to eat.
