GO2, Organisers of Exeter’s Great West Run, sponsored by Tozers are pleased to announce that entries for the 2014 half marathon race taking place on Sunday 19 October 2014 are now open.
Following on from the great success in 2013, over 2,000 participants have already pre-registered for the 2014 race, as organisers predict a high uptake of their early bird £5 discount for those that sign up by 6 May 2014.

Local charity Exeter YMCA is issuing the challenge, to those with a daring heart, to run the Great West Run on behalf of Exeter YMCA wearing an imaginative costume. The runner with the most impressive costume will receive two day passes at the Exeter Golf and Country Club as a prize.

Primary schools from Exeter and North Devon will be taking part in Exeter’s Great West Run on Sunday 13 October, as part of the Schools’ Challenge.
The Schools’ Challenge encourages children to achieve a half marathon distance over 6 weeks, with the final mile run on the home straight of the Half Marathon course, shortly after the main race begins.
