Exeter’s highly successful Cyber Security Awareness Week finally drew to a close - just seven weeks late!
The last event in the sell out programme of events had to be postponed because of snow. But the organisers, Bluegrass Group, were determined the week should finish in style.
Undaunted, they rescheduled the final event at Hanlons Brewery in Newton St Cyres to toast the success of the week and announce plans for next year’s event.

The team at Hanlons Brewery had reason to celebrate twice in April having collected two awards at this year’s Tuckers Maltings Beer Festival.
The Festival, organised by SIBA, and now in its 24th Year, showcases the best beers from all over the West Country and beyond. Hanlons’ Port Stout won a Bronze Award whilst newly bottled Stormstay won a Gold.
Having recently been finalists in both the Exeter Living and Express and Echo business awards the team are rightly proud of their performance.

Only 20 months after taking over the business, Hanlons Brewery is now happily established in its new location in Half Moon Village, near Exeter. The business has grown from strength to strength and is seen as one of the leading West Country Breweries.
In 2014 Hanlons Port Stout received a Gold Award from Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) South West and was subsequently asked to be a guest beer at this year’s Great British Beer Festival held in Olympia in August 2015. The Champion Beer of Britain is an award presented by CAMRA at this festival which is held annually.
It may be just 20 months since Devon family brewery Hanlons opened its new facility, but it’s already delivering on its promise to source as much of its ingredients as possible from the local area – and that includes the electricity used to brew its Devon Darkness ale, which will be launched this winter.
