Niki Cunningham, founder of the Harry Cunningham Trust, has donated a ‘Cuddle Cot’ to the Maternity Unit of the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital to enable bereaved parents to spend more time with their babies.
The Cuddle Cot is a cold pad that can be wrapped around a baby that has been stillborn or has been miscarried late in pregnancy. The Cuddle Cot keeps the baby cool, meaning parents can stay with their child for longer after it has passed away. Visitors to Sandy Park are used to rubbing shoulders with famous rugby players, but an exciting event at the recently redeveloped venue in November will give guests the opportunity to mingle with a host of celebrities from the stage and screen.
The third annual Harry’s Ball, taking place on Saturday 15th November at Sandy Park, boasts a glittering celebrity line-up from cast members of popular reality shows Made in Chelsea and The Only Way is Essex, plus star of Coronation Street Kym Marsh and Hollyoaks’ Ashley Taylor Dawson.
