When he got down on one knee and proposed to girlfriend Claire Bowler, little did Julian Harris realise that the couple would become part of the history of one of Exeter’s most prestigious properties.
The couple, who are due to tie the knot on August 27, will be the first to marry at the newly-refurbished Rockbeare Manor.
The property, which was built in 1760, has undergone a sensitive restoration over the last 18 months and opened its doors as a wedding and events venue this summer. Claire and Julian’s wedding will be the first to take place in its 250 year history....
