The Green Party in Exeter has launched its General Election campaign urging people to vote for policies not personalities and warning against intimidation by other Parties to vote tactically.

Green Party members in Exeter have selected Diana Moore as their parliamentary candidate for the 2015 general election. Ms Moore is a business advisor with extensive experience working with social enterprises, charities and councils across the South West and is a director on the boards of two local cooperatives and a social enterprise. She has also actively supported community involvement in issues around housing in Exeter, including the large proposed developments in Alphington and the South West of Exeter.

Volunteers needed for oral history project of community politics in Devon

The History of Parliament Trust is launching an exciting new oral history project based at the Devon Heritage Centre, Exeter. ‘From the Grassroots’ will create a sound archive dedicated to local politics in Devon. The project will help celebrate Devon’s rich political history as told by the participants themselves, by interviewing those deeply involved in the political process within the county itself – councillors, activists, campaigners – and share these memories and stories on a website and through a programme of local events.
