Rail passengers are facing disruption into the New Year as a result of the recent floods.

Meanwhile, forecasters are predicting yet more wet and windy weather.

Services between Exeter St David's and Exmouth are disrupted due to damage caused to a railway bridge by earlier flooding in the Lympstone area.

Services will start and terminate at Topsham with road transport operating between Topsham and Stations to Exmouth in both directions.

Services will remain disrupted until after the New Year.

Exe Estuary Trail closed for necessary rail repairs

A section of the Exe Estuary trail at Nutwell Court (between Lympstone Station and the Commando Training Camp), may be closed over the coming days to allow Network Rail to carry out emergency repairs to their bridge on the adjacent Exmouth to Exeter railway branch line which has been damaged by the recent severe weather.

The temporary closure is needed to allow Network Rail to safely gain access to the bridge with heavy plant and equipment. A temporary speed restriction for passing trains has been put in place by Network Rail and they are preparing to carry out emergency works to...

The Exe Estuary Trail closed due to road collapse

The Exe Estuary Trail in Lympstone is closed in both directions between the Lympstone junction and the Exton junction, because of a road collapse.

Fire Engine and Vintage Vehicle Rally

This year's Fire engine and Vintage Vehicle Rally is being held at Nutwell Court Estate, Lympstone on 23 June 2013.

The Rally will raise funds for the Firefighters Charity and will take place from 10am-5pm.

This will be a great family day out with children's rides, face painting and bouncy castle.
