The Maynard School, Exeter is delighted to have been awarded the Sunday Times Schools Guide 2020 Southwest Independent Secondary School of the Year. This prestigious award, being officially published in the 27th edition of Parent Power on Sunday 24 November, is triggered by our incredible A-level and GCSE results in the summer, but is also judged on the wider ethos and values within the whole school community.
Maynard student, Olivia Taylor, has become the only female to successfully gain a place on the Skyborne EASA Integrated ATPL training course to become a fully qualified airline pilot – a long held ambition for the Devon sixth former.

Preparations for one of the South West’s largest exhibitions, the Rathbones Exeter Art Show hosted at the Maynard School, are gaining pace with well over 100 nationally and locally acclaimed artists signed up already.
Commercial interest in the Show, which will take place over the weekend of 21-22 April 2018, has been enormous this year with several companies coming on board to offer support. So far, these include Rathbones Investment Management, Knight Frank, Darts Farm, Foot Anstey and The Exeter.

The Maynard School in Exeter welcomed a new recruit this week with the arrival of Nula, a former working guide dog who has recently retired from service and is looking for a more relaxed lifestyle.
