Exeter Diamond Way Buddhist Centre have the pleasure to announce the following in Exeter: "A Buddhist Talk- Why Meditate?" with Marcin Baranski.

The lecture will be on Saturday April 23rd @ 14:00 in the Drama Studio, Exeter Phoenix. Tickets will be on sale at the door £6/£4 concessions. After the lecture there will be a Q&A followed by a short meditation for those who wish to participate.

The talk requires no previous knowledge or experience of Buddhism or the Buddhist practice and all are welcome to attend.

The talk is about Buddhism & Meditation and is presented by an experienced Diamond Way Buddhist teacher Lena Leonteva.

Lena was born in Ukraine in 1965. She took refuge with Lama Ole Nydahl in 1992 and six years later, at Lama Ole's request, started teaching about Buddhism. Lena has lived in the Moscow Buddhist centre since 1998 and has worked as a translater, editor and currently is the Deputy director at Orietalia Publishers. Lena completed a Phd in Buddhist History in 2011 with a thesis about the works of the Karma Kagyu lineage holder "Marpa".

Every Monday until 1st Dec.

Meditation in the Buddhist tradition.The group will focus on learning and practising an ancient meditation technique for calming the mind and creating inner stillness and tranquility. The practice helps us to find some space in our busy lives and can form the basis for developing personal insight and understanding.

Run by experienced Buddhist practitioners, each session last for approximately 30 minutes with time for discussion afterwards. The group is ‘drop in’ so feel free to come by each week or just from time to time. For those who develop an...
