An Evening Without James Taylor and The Holy Host of Others returns again to the Cygnet Theatre featuring the talented acoustic duo Nigel Challis and David Sanderson.

Together they perform a wealth of songs spanning the 40-year career of the American songwriter James Taylor including many classics such as ‘Fire And Rain’, ‘Sweet Baby James’ and ‘Carolina In My Mind’.

Expect sensitive fretwork and richly layered piano fused with a mellow blend of vocal harmonies.

Oxjam Exeter 2013 Announces Artists for Takeover Weekend

Oxjam Exeter has announced some of the artists that will be performing live at venues across Exeter during the Oxjam Exeter Takeover weekend, taking place on 19 and 20 October 2013.

Confirmed artists include:

The Mighty Diamonds — Donald “Tabby” Shaw, Fitzroy ”Bunny” Simpson and Lloyd “Judge” Ferguson – formed in 1969 in the Trenchtown area of Kingston, Jamaica. Top acts to play first Lyme Regis Folk Weekend

Lyme Regis is set to become a top annual venue for folk music when it hosts the first Lyme Folk Weekend at the end of August.

Lyme Folk Weekend will round off the summer with some of the country's finest folk acts at the Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis, as well as a full-on programme of singing, dancing and entertainment - in pubs and cafes in and around the town and on the sea-front - plus lots of free family events.
