Ugbrooke House will be opening its doors to the public when it hosts the annual Big Noise Chorus concert, giving you an opportunity to enjoy the historic gardens and more with craft stalls, pony rides, bouncy castle, food and drink, morris dancing and music from Devon's finest choirs and swing classics from the Spectrum Music band.

Chase & Status confirmed for Lockdown Festival

Great news for everyone who missed out on tickets for this summer’s Radio One Big Weekend, and for those who want to see one of the highlights of that weekend at Powderham Castle again: Chase & Status are confirmed as special guests for Saturday night.

Lockdown, the South‐West’s biggest dance music festival, will take place in the grounds of the magnificent Powderham Castle, Exeter on the weekend of 9-11 September 2016.

This event was previously advertised as Bassline Festival, but has been rebranded to avoid confusion with another event of the same name.

English National Opera debut for former Exeter Chorister

An opera singer from Devon who started his musical life as a Chorister in Exeter Cathedral Choir made his debut with English National Opera earlier this week.

David Webb, who sang with the Cathedral Choir in the 1990s, made his ENO debut in Wagner’s Tristan and Isolde on 9th June in a new production conducted by Edward Gardner. In a recent interview with Toby Deller he speaks fondly of his time in Exeter Cathedral Choir, then under the direction of Lucian Nethsingtha.
