Princesshay announces art installation to mark tenth year

The sky above Princesshay’s Bedford Square is set to be transformed for 8 weeks when a flock of swifts made from recycled plastic bottles take flight as part of a jaw-dropping sculpture commissioned by the centre to celebrate its tenth birthday. Princesshay has commissioned an exciting art installation sculpture by environmental artist, Naomi Hart, as part of its tenth birthday celebrations. Join local artist Naomi Hart in the birds gallery at RAMM, In Fine Feather, on Wednesday 21 August between 10am and 1pm, to learn about brent geese and take part in a collaborative, worldwide, art-science project.

Exeter is an overwintering site of international importance and the geese can be found on Topsham marshes, Exminster marshes and Starcross golf course throughout the winter. The Cafe at 36 in St Thomas Exeter supports local artists, providing a space for small art exhibitions, or individual paintings and photographs.

We are thrilled that Naomi Hart, who is a well known local artist, has a small exhibition of her latest paintings at the Cafe. The paintings are inspired by a road trip to the Kimberley region of Australia in 2011.
