Stagecoach SW, Fostering Devon and Northcott Theatre collaborate to create some Christmas magic

Christmas came early for families from Devon County Council’s Fostering Devon service, when Stagecoach South West, The Northcott Theatre Exeter, and Devon Foster Carers’ Association partnered with them to provide foster families with tickets to attend the premiere of Cinderella at the Northcott Theatre

The collaboration, with a contribution from the theatre’s ‘pay it forward’ scheme, enabled the organisations to donate 150 free tickets to Fostering Devon’s carers and their families.

1 October 2024 : Ned Boulting, ITV’s lead Tour de France commentator, will be performing at Exeter Northcott Theatre with his brand-new one-man stage show, Ned Boulting’s Marginal Mystery Tour: 1923 And All That, on Wednesday 13 November .

In his latest celebration of the greatest race on earth, Ned delves into the hidden mysteries of a mysterious roll of film from the 1923 Tour de France that fell into his possession during the Covid pandemic and inspired his bestselling book "1923!”

BBC TV experts and presenters bring their stage show to Exeter

Stars of popular BBC daytime TV shows Bargain Hunt and The Travelling Auctioneers Christina Trevanion, Charlie Ross and Philip Serrell are bringing their popular stage show to the Nortcott Theatre in Exeter later this month.

The trio promise an evening of tales from behind the camera of the shows they all work on and an insight into how they all started in the antiques and auctioneering industry. Dragon catches bus to Exeter Northcott Theatre for starring role in Christmas show Robin Hood

Fluffy the Dragon had been rehearsing with the Robin Hood cast at the city centre Barnfield Theatre, but needed to get to the Northcott Theatre, where the show will be staged this Christmas, for a dress rehearsal.

Fluffy had intended to fly to the Northcott, but Robin Hood director Daniel Buckroyd gave the dragon strict instructions to save their energy for the show. Fluffy had to find another way to travel to the Northcott.

Exeter Northcott Theatre announces The Story of Us , a family friendly cultural festival co-created with members of Exeter and Devon’s Caribbean, Hindu and Polish communities taking place at the city centre Barnfield Theatre on 11 September, between 10am and 5.30pm.

The Amadeus Orchestra has faced fierce criticism online recently for refusing to stop playing Russian music. We are due to be performing music by Stravinsky and Prokofiev in Exeter Cathedral on 22 July – a programme that was decided on six months ago, way before Putin began his atrocities in Ukraine. Are we against the war? Of course we are. Are we in favour of sanctions that try and put a stranglehold on Putin’s evil regime? Again, of course. However, I’d be surprised if a thug like Putin had ever knowingly heard any of this music, let alone care if it’s performed in Britain or not....
