Learn how to use a bow saw and a hand drill safely. Make ‘wood cookies’ to decorate, hang or spin. Our session finishes with a campfire gathering of hot chocolate, snacks and a campfire song.

Exeter Forest School have launched a brand new outdoor Home Education Group for young children and teenagers in Exeter and the surrounding areas.
The group will begin as straight-forward forest-school, eg. den-building, bush-craft, free-play and aims to be able to develop, weaving in some elements of the school curriculum with underlying forest school activity themes.
The Home Education Group will give children and teenagers the opportunity to explore nature, build on their confidence skills and make long, lasting friends.
The multi-million outdoor education centre, Haven Banks in Exeter has officially been handed over to Devon County Council.
The Council's leader, John Hart was formally handed the keys after a final site visit and tour of the facility.
The £5.6 million centre was funded by proceeds from the sale of Exeter airport and was the biggest single sum allocated from the sale. It replaced the old, outdated activity centre located on the canal basin.

Devon County Council leader John Hart will switch on the lights on a special Christmas tree to mark the topping out of a world class outdoor education and training centre in Exeter.
The £5.6 million centre on Haven Banks has now reached its highest point with the completion of the 25-metre climbing tower.
The centre itself will be completed in June. It will replace the existing, outdated activity centre on the canal basin.
The switch on of the Christmas tree – on top of the climbing tower – will be at 12 noon on Monday, 17th December.
