Kings and Queens Week at Powderham Castle

Powderham Castle presents an original show called 'Millennium of Monarchs involving puppets and live action. We will tell you the exciting facts about all of England's monarchs - one thousand years of history reduced to 45 manic minutes!

Sessions at set times throughout the day. Simply pick up a session ticket on arrival. Price is included in General Admission charge to the castle and grounds.

£10.50 adult, £8.50 child, £9.50 senior, under fours free, family £32.

Woodland Walk and Cream Tea

May is a particularly lovely time of year to appreciate the Woodland Garden with it's azaleas, rhododendrons and variety of trees.

On Wednesday 1 May you can join TV Gardener, Toby Buckland, for an informative walk through the Woodland Garden at 2pm.

Your ticket includes access to the Castle grounds and a delicious cream tea from the Castle's Courtenay Cafe which can be taken either before or after the walk.

£15 per person.

Chocolate & Candy Fortnight at Powderham Castle

Children will love to meet our very own Willy Wonka and Mrs Fudge throughout the holidays.

The amazing Chocolatier and his assistants will be on form for some candy capers at the Castle.

There will be lots to see and you can discover the science behind sweets and chocolates too. There will be a special Easter trail for children to follow around the grounds to win a prize and of course all the usual wonderful attractions.

Sessions take place at 12.15pm and 2.45pm. Pick up your session ticket on arrival. This event is included in a child's admission.

Cooper Antiques return to Powderham Castle

Spooky Tours & More at Powderham Castle

Take a thrilling tour with our housekeeper or butler through the Castle rooms followed by a spooky session with the Castle's Mad Scientist.

Spooky Tours run at 12.00, 1.30, 3.00 and must be booked in advance on 01626 890243.

Regular tours available throughout the day too for the fainthearted. Follow the Pumpkin Trail around the grounds to win a prize. Other attractions open as usual.

Exeter Physio lends a hand at FORCE charity run

Five physiotherapists from Exeter Physio were on hand at the FORCE Cancer Charity and Francis Clark running event held at Powderham Castle.

The team set up their beds to treat any injuries or aches and pains picked up during the 10k, 5k and family events.

It was the third year the physiotherapy practice in Lower Summerlands had supported the event.
