With two of the biggest festivals in National Hunt racing nearly upon us, all the focus will first be on Cheltenham. The Festival will run from Tuesday 10th March 2020 to Friday 13th 2020 and the four days will be absolutely packed with 28 races featuring some of the best chasers and hurdlers the country has to offer.

A key date in the south-west’s racing calendar is approaching with leading trainers readying their horses for Exeter Racecourse’s meeting on Sunday, February 9.

With over £100,000 in prize money, and staged within a month of the Cheltenham Festival ™ presented by Magners, the meeting is recognised as an important last stepping stone for horses with Cheltenham engagements.

It is also one of the most popular winter days out for sporting fans, with pre-booked tickets just £15 for a pair, and under-18s racing free, if accompanied by a full-paying adult.

Superhero Family Day at Exeter Racecourse on Sunday, March 22 promises to be one of the best free days out for children this Easter holiday with a programme packed full of free activities, not to mention super horse racing to enjoy.

Football comes to the races on Tuesday, January 14 when Exeter Racecourse teams up with Exeter City Football Club for a day out on Haldon Hill.

Season ticket holders for the club, known as the Grecians, are being offered free entry, while in the hospitality boxes will be supporters who will be able to meet first-team players.

Devon’s richest raceday takes place next Tuesday (November 3) when high class horses will be heading to Exeter Racecourse to contest the grade 2 Sportingbet Haldon Gold Cup.
