The Exeter-based school were one of 18 that have been visited by the Exeter Chiefs Community department since the start of the season to take part in the five-week programme, which will introduce over 36,000 young people to the sport through tag rugby.
Now into its fourth year, the programme is aimed at pupils aged 8-9 with each Premiership Rugby club working at...
In what is sure to be a competitive Pool Two of this season’s Heineken Cup, the importance of gaining reward – home and away – was illustrated in all its glory this weekend.
Toulon were toppled in the Welsh capital by Cardiff Blues on Saturday; while north of the border Exeter Chiefs – conquerors of the Welsh region seven days earlier – were undone by Glasgow Warriors.
With one win apiece, there is little to choose between these quartet of clubs after just two rounds of...
Sandy Park, home to Aviva Premiership club Exeter Chiefs, has been shortlisted for Rugby Venue of the Year at the upcoming Rugby Expo Awards.
The Devon venue, which was built in 2006, will battle it out for the honour along with Allianz Park, the home to top flight rivals Saracens.
Last season, Aviva Premiership supporters from all 12 clubs voted Sandy Park as the best match-day experience, whilst in 2015 the stadium will also play host to three Rugby World Cup games.
Off the field, the venue continues to be a popular attraction for businesses, charities and...
Gareth Steenson says Exeter Chiefs travel to Glasgow this weekend with "nothing to fear" as they look to push forward in this season's Heineken Cup campaign. Having kicked off life in Pool 2 with an impressive 44-29 home win over Cardiff Blues last weekend, fly-half Steenson will be hoping for a similar outcome when the Devon club travel north of the border this Sunday (2pm). In a dazzling first half against the star-studded Blues, Rob Baxter's side blew away their rivals with a five-try blast that saw them storm into a 36-3 lead at the interval. As expected, Cardiff improved significantly...
A first half masterclass from the Exeter Chiefs gave them the perfect start to this season’s Heineken Cup as they blew away visiting Cardiff Blues at Sandy Park.
Rob Baxter’s side ran in five tries – four of them in the opening 40 minutes – to ensure maximum reward against the Welsh region, whose improved display after the break did at least glean them a try bonus point.
Skipper Dean Mumm, Matt Jess, Fetu’u Vainikolo, Ben White and Ian Whitten all crossed for tries, while Gareth...

What a difference a week makes... Following a disappointing performance seven days earlier against Leicester Tigers, Exeter Chiefs produced the perfect response at Kingsholm to re-ignite their Aviva Premiership charge against hosts Gloucester.
In a sublime Sunday showing, Rob Baxter’s side served up a season’s best display to sink the Cherry & Whites on their own path. Aussies Ben White and Dean Mumm – just as they had done at London Irish earlier in the campaign – again got on the try-sheet, whilst fly-half Gareth Steenson weighed in with...
Members of the Exeter Chiefs’ squad put their business brains to the test recently when they visited local drinks manufacturer Frobishers. The players were challenged to create a new juice drink and come up with a marketing strategy to present in a ‘Dragons' Den’ style pitch to senior members of the Frobishers team. The day was part of the RPA’s (Rugby Players’ Association) Player Development Programme which aims to individually assist players in their personal and professional development, helping them to identify a second career and providing them with skills for a smooth transition into...
Rob Baxter knows all too well there is no hiding place when it comes to the Aviva Premiership and Sunday's visit of reigning champions Leicester Tigers to Sandy Park offers him and his Exeter Chiefs squad a formidable weekend work-out. After successive league wins over London Wasps and London Irish, the Chiefs have spent this past week readying themselves for what will be a key date in their seasonal programme. The Tigers, like the Chiefs, have recorded two wins from three starts so far this term and will arrive in Devon looking to keep pace with unbeaten leaders Saracens at the summit....
Aussie flanker Ben White says Exeter Chiefs cannot wait to get stuck into Leicester Tigers in their latest Aviva Premiership encounter this Sunday (2pm). Buoyed by back-to-back league wins over London Wasps and London Irish, the Chiefs are now busy preparing themselves for the visit of the defending champions to Sandy Park. It's a fixture which is sure to test the credentials of the Devon club - particularly given the currently visitors sit second in the standings - but White says recent form has given him and his team-mates a real belief they can topple Richard Cockerill's men. “The...
