Thousands of tickets to next year’s Rugby World Cup have appeared on ticket re-selling sites ahead of yesterday’s community ticket sale launch.

More than 4,000 tickets were discovered on a variety of re-selling sites by investigative reporters from BBC Watchdog.

This is despite the first community tickets, exclusively for members of local rugby clubs, only going on sale at 1pm yesterday.

A further batch of tickets for general sale will go on sale on 12 September 2014 and will include three fixtures at Exeter’s Sandy Park.

Some “VIP” tickets for Rugby World...

Do you know my Knight(s) in shining armour?

Today three men came to my aid after my Ford KA skidded across an Exeter dual carriageway.

I had just passed Sandy Park and Tescos when my car came into difficulties, leaving me facing oncoming traffic.

A white van man and two passers by came to my aid, ensuring I was ok and my car was moved safely out of the road.

The first man that stopped to help even made sure I would be ok until help arrived.

I was so shaken I did not get chance to properly thank these men. If your husband/boyfriend/son came home today and told you a story about helping a young woman,...

Fans are used to seeing Chiefs players tearing up the pitch - but nothing quite like this.

Contractors have removed the hallowed turf to make way for something completely new.

And Tony Rowe OBE says multi-million pound redevelopment works at Sandy Park are "progressing nicely" as work on and off the field continues to gain momentum.

Just weeks into the project, Sandy Park - the Westcountry's Premier Conferencing and Banqueting Centre, as well as home to the Exeter Chiefs - is a figure of it's former self as construction workers get stuck into expanding the award-...

James Phillips insists Saturday's win at Newcastle Falcons was the perfect way for him to bring down the curtain on his Exeter Chiefs career.

After four seasons at Sandy Park, the imposing forward is set for pastures new next season having sealed a move to Championship side London Scottish. However, he departs the Devon club not only with plenty of good memories, but safe in the knowledge that he has helped forge the Chiefs as one of the leading clubs in English rugby.

Recruited by Rob Baxter in the summer of 2010 after the Chiefs defeated former club Bristol in the...

Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter believes new signing Elvis Taione will offer "something different" to his squad ahead of the 2014/15 season.

The Tongan international is the latest new addition to the playing ranks at Sandy Park having joined from Championship side Jersey.

Baxter has been in the market for a new hooker ever since it was confirmed that Chris Whitehead would be forced to retire with immediate effect following the club's LV= Cup success over Northampton Saints in March.

As always Baxter has studied closely the qualities the powerful 30-year-old can...

The coffers of the Exeter Foundation have again been boosted by almost £2,000 following the success of the charity’s latest Sportsman’s Dinner held at Sandy Park last week (20 March).

Star attraction for the night was former Scotland and British Lions star Doddie Weir, who entertained the audience of nearly 200 people with a number of anecdotes from his playing days, as well as further amusing stories about his life away from the game.

Weir was also not afraid to have the odd joke or two at the expense of some of the audience members, including his former Borders team-mate...

Rest Will Do Us Good, says Tui

Prop Hoani Tui says Exeter Chiefs’ week off could not have come at a better time as they look to recharge their batteries.

The Sandy Park outfit have lost twice since lifting the LV= Cup a fortnight ago, with Saturday’s 14-13 reverse against Gloucester coming after a 45-15 defeat at Leicester Tigers.

Due to their success in the Anglo-Welsh competition, the Sandy Park players have not had a week off from matches since early August.

Most other teams had a fortnight without a game last month while the Chiefs competed in the knock-out rounds of the LV= Cup. Tui, who has...
