Jonathan Kirby, Artistic Director of performing arts company Kagemusha Taiko, has produced a new piece of music with three taiko (drum) compositions entitled: Dignity, Love, and Legacy.
The inspiration for ‘A Good Death’ came from an interview about end-of-life care which Jonathan heard on the radio.

As has now become a tradition, the UK Taiko Festival will open with a Friday evening Feast of Taiko concert, featuring the amazing talent of the best youth taiko groups in the country, joined by some special guests.
Festival headliners this year are Ikari Taiko. No fewer than 15 members of the group will be making a special trip to the UK Taiko Festival for their first ever performance in Europe. Established in Osaka in the 1980s, Ikari Taiko are not just a phenomenally exciting group to watch, they are a group with an important story. This story is told in a film to be shown before the evening concert.

After fantastic concerts performing with them in Sendai, Japan last year Kagemusha Taiko are extremely excited to welcome Kamo Tsunamura Daiko to the UK for a special concert on Sunday 16th November at the Exeter Northcott Theatre at 7.30pm.
Kamo Tsunamura Daiko bring to the stage all the joy, energy and excitement of the Japanese festival, or matsuri. The dance-like choreography of these drummers adds an extra dimension to the rhythms of traditional Japanese taiko, further augmented by beautiful, haunting melodies played on the bamboo flute.
