The experience of shopping in Exeter is set to rocket to new heights with the launch of the new John Lewis store on the corner of Sidwell Street, which opens its doors to the public at 9am on Friday 12th October. The Exeter Daily was lucky enough to take a sneak peek around the sophisticated store with manager Kate Connock, whose staff are busily preparing for a smooth launch. Thursday will see the store's partners undertaking a dress rehearsal, but the signs are good as everyone is pulling together to make it happen.

Sandy Park to launch revolutionary App for the Meetings Show

Sandy Park Conference and Events Centre, are to become one of the first companies in Europe to use a ‘Proximity App’ at an Exhibition Venue, when they launch at the Meetings Show between the July 8-10 in London's Olympia.

Tied in to their competition where visitors can win a VIP Rugby Weekend in Devon watching the Premiership Rugby Exeter Chiefs team, the innovative new App will allow anyone to enter, simply by being within a three-metre range of the Sandy Park stand at E33b.

Exeter Initiative for Science & Technology quarterly event

Exeter Initiative for Science and Technology (ExIST) held their fifth quarterly event at Exeter College's new Technology Centre on Sowton Industrial Estate in October.

110 business leaders gathered for the event, which celebrated the wealth of Science and Technology companies operating in Exeter and its sub-region.
