A leading South West law firm has announced that it is to be one of the sponsors of an inspiring event due to take place in Exeter in April next year.

TEDxExeter, which will take place on 16 April at the Exeter Northcott Theatre, is set to bring some of the world’s best thinkers to the city, with a theme of “Dreams to Reality”. The day will consist of a series of inspirational talks and performances on a wide range of topics. After the event videos of the talks will be online for anyone to watch.

This year’s event will build on the highly successful TEDxExeter in 2015....

TEDxExeter tickets sell out in 22 minutes

Massive demand meant that tickets to TEDxExeter 2016 sold out faster than ever before on Tuesday.

Tickets for the live event at the Exeter Northcott Theatre sold out in 20 minutes, and tickets for the simultaneous livestream to the nearby Alumni Auditorium all went before the end of the day.

TEDxExeter is Exeter’s leading festival of ideas, and next year’s conference will be the fifth held in the city. It is also streamed online so that everyone who could not get tickets can still watch it live. Videos of all the talk will also be free to watch online after the event....

TEDxExeter reserves space for school groups

School groups are being offered concessionary tickets at Exeter’s popular festival of ideas for the first time in 2016.

The theme for next year’s event is Dreams to Reality.

The one-day conference which brings together speakers with “ideas worth sharing” has been running at Exeter Northcott Theatre since 2012.

This year it will have a simultaneous livestream to the nearby Alumni Auditorium, where some of the seats will be reserved for schools and colleges around Devon. Audiences from both venues will come together for breaks and lunch in the University’s Great Hall...

TEDxExeter will offer twice as many tickets for its 2016 conference as it did last year. Exeter’s leading festival of ideas, which is now in its fifth year, is responding to the unprecedented level of demand last year, when tickets sold out in two hours, and all concessionary tickets were gone in under 20 minutes.

The 2016 conference will still be held at Exeter Northcott Theatre, which seats 465 people. A further 450 people will be able to watch a simultaneous livestream in an adjacent auditorium at Exeter University. Both audiences will come together to meet speakers and each...

Prepare to be moved, inspired, challenged and amused as talks from this year’s TEDxExeter conference go live online today for anyone to enjoy. Viewing figures from past talks indicate that they have the potential to be watched by millions of people in hundreds of countries around the world.

TEDxExeter to be streamed live

TEDxExeter will be available to watch live via a computer or smart phone anywhere in the world for the first time this year.

Its annual conference takes place on Friday 24 April at the Exeter Northcott Theatre, and tickets sold out in two hours last December. Now those who were disappointed don’t have to miss out, as the conference will be streamed live via the TEDxExeter website.

Poet's TEDxExeter video hits the big time

Pun-tastic and poignant, Harry Baker's poetry had him named winner of the Poetry Slam World Cup in 2012. Now his performance at TEDxExeter in April 2014 has won him another prized accolade: the video of his love poem for prime numbers has been posted on the International TED.com website.

Under 1 per cent of the videos from locally organised TEDx events around the world are selected for posting on TED.com. Harry Baker¹s is the fourth from TEDxExeter to be recognised in this way. Exeter Library to live stream TEDx

Due to massive public demand TEDxExeter has found an additional venue for the public to attend this year's conference.

The talks will be streamed live from the Northcott Theatre to an audience of 80 people in Exeter Library's Rougemont Room. Some of Exeter’s best known organisations are getting behind an inspiring event, which is set to bring some of the world’s best thinkers to the city this year.
