Live Wire Theatre, one of the South West’s foremost theatre companies, has announced a stellar cast for their latest show that they will be staged at The Barnfield Theatre Exeter on Friday and Saturday 16th & 17th October as part of the celebrations for The Rugby World Cup 2015.

Sophia takes centre stage in hit musical

A student from the Stagecoach theatre school in Exeter has taken centre stage in the hit West End and Broadway production of Shrek The Musical® at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth this month.

Nine-year-old Sophia Rochfort sailed through her auditions organised by the Stagecoach Agency, to secure the part of the one of the lead characters, the Young Shrek and Grumpy the Dwarf.

Following on from last year’s lively adaptation of 'Godspell', 'Into the Light' is a thought-provoking and beautifully written piece that will be performed at Buckfast Abbey from 7th -12th September by the Torbay-based Unleashed Theatre Company.

Based on St John’s Gospel, it follows a group of refugees fleeing from Eastern Europe in the late 1930s at the start of the outbreak of the Second World War, who as they travel tell the ‘greatest story’ on Earth. For Unleashed Theatre Company, this piece has real significance as it takes them right back to their roots...

Law firm renews Exeter theatre sponsorship

Exeter Northcott Theatre is delighted to announce that law firm Browne Jacobson has renewed its sponsorship with the theatre for a second year.

The year-long sponsorship agreement with the national firm which has an office in Exeter will make a valuable contribution to the theatre.
