Early signs of a tourism boost for the region in 2015 are already in evidence after the Exeter & the Heart or Devon Tourism Partnership celebrated welcoming its 300th member.
Bus company Stagecoach South West has joined the expanding partnership, as part of its commitment to supporting the local tourism industry.

The fifth Tiverton Balloon and Music Festival takes place from Friday 10th until Sunday 12th July 2015 at Petroc College/Tiverton Campus on Bolham Road, Tiverton, in Devon.

A £659,000 project to deliver even cleaner seas off Teignmouth gets under way today.
South West Water will be constructing a 500 cubic metre underground storage tank in Teignmouth station car park.
This additional storm water storage capacity will reduce the number of discharges from the sewerage network during extremely wet weather. The project is designed to improve bathing water quality at Teignmouth ahead of the European Union's revised Bathing Water Directive, which comes into effect in 2015.

One of Devon’s largest independent holiday parks is celebrating its busiest summer ever.
Ladram Bay Holiday Park, situated on the Jurassic coast between Sidmouth and Budleigh Salterton, saw nearly 6,000 holidaymakers stay in July and August.
The business, which has been in the same family for four generations since Devon farmer Bill Carter took on part of a small tenanted farm in 1942, had 7,640 people stay over the two summer months, with 1,800 bookings taken for a total of 15,300 ‘nights’. Revenue was up eight per cent on the same period last year.
Devon Hotels & Restaurants Association has reported a ‘perfect summer’ with bookings for many establishments seeing a healthy rise on last year’s figures thanks to the combination of two months of glorious sunshine, a renewed optimism in the economy encouraging spend and an increase in the corporate market.
All this with the careful planning and future forecasting of local hoteliers and restaurant owners has combined to safeguard the region’s highly respected tourism industry.
