Respiratory research fellow celebrated at national awards for patient-centred excellence

A pioneering Research Fellow based at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Plymouth has won an award for his outstanding contribution to respiratory research and dedication to patient involvement.

Ground-breaking new research aims to provide unique insight into E-bike usage in Exeter

The University of Plymouth is conducting innovative new research that is revolutionising the way in which we understand cycling and providing a blueprint for how we can better plan our cities.

Researchers at the Environmental Futures and Big Data Impacts Lab are using new sensor data insights gathered from Co Bikes - Exeter's e-bike share fleet - to shine a light on cycling in the city, helping to improve the fleet service and providing insights that will help the Council plan to support cycling.

Sam Smiles is Emeritus Professor of Art History, University of Plymouth, and Programme Director, Art History and Visual Culture, University of Exeter. He specialises in the history of British art and has a particular interest in the contribution of Devon and Cornwall to the national picture. He will focus on Tudor works of art and architecture, new ideas about education, church and state and the development of historical scholarship.
