September 2015 is approaching and the second edition is on the planner.

Turner Locker Barnfield has decided to go the "extra mile" this time by having more classic cars, vintage motorbikes and there is also room for entertainment, local quality food and beverages.

Fire Engine and Vintage Vehicle Rally

The fire engine and vintage vehicle rally is to be held at Nutwell Court Estate, Lympstone, on Sunday 28 June, 10am-5pm.

There will be plenty to see and do including steam engine rides, family dog show, co-responders, children's rides, craft marquees, refreshments and much more.

There will be two special guest appearances in the main arena by the St Giles Steam Pump and Percheron Horses, courtesy of the owner Mr John McDermot.

Velo Vintage returns to Exmouth

It seems hard to believe that it is a year since Velo Vintage was last in Exmouth.

Since then they have held their unique cycle events in Exeter and also in the north of the county in Barnstaple, but Exmouth has always felt like the home of Velo Vintage and where the first Occasion & Ride took place.

Donkey Sanctuary launches annual car show

The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth is looking for proud owners to show off their cherished motors at its first ever annual Car Show this July.

There will be competitions for modern and vintage cars with categories including ‘Show and Shine’ and ‘Best in Show’.

Fabulous prizes include top ‘detailing’ kits kindly sponsored by Servo Engineering, Exeter.

Visitors can enter a free raffle to win a pressure washer and a range of cleaning products.

As well as admiring beautiful motors the show offers the chance to meet hundreds of rescued donkeys and mules on site...

Exeter hosts 5th Twilight bus running event

On Sunday 9th November Exeter plays host to the fifth annual ‘Twilight Running’ event when a selection of vintage vehicles will operate across several historic Exeter City Transport bus routes.

Vehicles taking part date from the 1930s right up to the 1980s and will be departing from Exeter City Bus Station stands 2, 3 and 4 from 2pm in the afternoon up until 7pm in the evening. All journeys will start and finish at the bus station and will last anywhere up to 45 minutes. Passengers will only be able to board at the bus station and all journeys are completely free.

Seven year old Aidan Bown was “transported back in time”, with a ride on a 1966 London Transport Vintage Routemaster, as part of his prize for winning a competition to design a poster. The Woodbury C of E Primary School pupil won the school drawing competition launched earlier this year during Catch the Bus Week, which is co-ordinated by the Greener Journeys sustainable travel campaign and supported by Devon County Council and Stagecoach South West. The Real McCoy customers and Pickle Shack pop-up restaurant regulars were treated to an indulgent dining experience in the quirky surrounds of McCoy’s Arcade. With a tapas theme, cocktails galore and music from raucous Klezmer influenced band Hazaar the night was an overwhelming success.
