The Outdoors Group to open next forest school at Escot

There’s a new opportunity for children in Exeter and East Devon to enjoy outdoor learning and play as The Outdoors Group launches its latest forest school at Escot Estate.

Opening just after February half term ‘The Forest School at Escot’ is located in a section of Black Aller Woods, a stunning plot of mixed woodland with an ever-changing setting including carpets of bluebells throughout Spring.

Big Fake Festival Tribute Band

Festival to bring 24 tribute bands together in the South West in June

The ‘Big Fake Festival South West’ will take place at Escot Estate near Ottery St Mary on three consecutive days from June 3 to 5.

The event has capacity for up to 3,700 revellers and includes onsite camping, catering and family entertainment.

It’s being organised by the Fake Festivals team, which runs festivals all around the country – most of these are 1-day events, but the ‘Big’ Fake Festival South West is a full on 3-day event.

Rock Solid Race returns to its roots

This March sees Rock Solid Race returning to Escot Park for the third time – bringing with it more obstacles, more races and more days to do it in (the event will be running on both days this year).

Founder and owner Ashley Jardine is thrilled with the reaction to the event. Having left a safe career as an Optician just three years ago, he took a big gamble on carving out a new career in Obstacle Racing. It looks like it has paid off.
