Candlelight Christmas concerts are coming to Exeter

This holiday season, Fever’s Candlelight concerts are coming to Exeter. Throughout December, attendees will be immersed in the magic of Christmas with timeless carols like Silent Night, We Wish You a Merry Christmas , and Jingle Bells , along with beloved holiday soundtracks and selections from The Nutcracker .

These unforgettable performances by a string quartet will take place at St David's Church Exeter , beautifully illuminated by thousands of candles and adorned with festive decorations, creating a truly magical atmosphere.

Exeter Philharmonic Choir with tenor Rhys Batt and soprano Camilla Harris serves up a feast of much-loved arias and choruses from operas spanning four centuries, including Puccini’s La bohème, Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro, Bizet’s Carmen and Verdi’s La traviata.

Well-known Exeter musicians Stephen Tanner and Andrew Downton will accompany the singers on piano.

The season finale at St. David’s Church in Exeter will be a comparatively intimate affair with just 200 tickets available.

The £25 ticket price includes interval drinks and canape.

Winter Concert

Wren Music is bringing together five choirs and one of its youth groups, to present a seasonal winter celebration of singing this year.

There will be over 100 singers, mince pies, mulled wine and a Christmas hamper raffle all in the lovely setting of St David’s Church, Exeter.

The event takes place on Saturday 19th December and the concert begins at 7.30pm. Admission is by donation and the proceeds of the night will go towards Wren’s youth programme.

Choral Music Old and New

EXODUS is one of Exeter’s newest and most vibrant choirs. Set up in the autumn of 2012 by Michael Graham, the choir offers dynamic concert programmes performed by the finest singers in the area.

The Artistic Director and Conductor, Michael Graham, is a Choral Scholar at Exeter Cathedral, Director of Chapel Music at the University of Exeter and conducts various local choirs. Matt Cann was Director of Antiphon and is a Lay Clerk at Exeter Cathedral. This year he will continue to sing bass with Exodus as well as sharing the role of Conductor.
