Music at the Mill features 30 bands/performers on 3 stages over 2 days at Lapford Mill in Mid Devon. Friday night showcases young local talent and is free of charge. Headline acts on the main stage (Saturday) include Tankus the Henge and Lionstar both having played Glastonbury. Plenty of stalls and activities including ukulele and didgeridoo sessions, children's drum workshop, storytelling, yoga and jewellery making. Local real ale, cider and food stalls. New for 2015, Future Music is launching a songwriting competition to find the best songwriters in the UK.
The songwriting competition will provide the opportunity for both aspiring and established songwriters to get their music heard by music industry professionals, with prizes including Songwriter Awards, plus the opportunity to perform in a Grand Final showcase in London in front of A&R who work for the three major record labels.
