Chiefs are digging deep, insists Waldrom

Thomas Waldrom’s late try not only ensured maximum reward for the Exeter Chiefs against local rivals Bristol at the weekend, but it took him past a half century of touchdowns in the Aviva Premiership. The free-scoring No.8’s latest brace took him to 51 tries, the second highest for a forward in the competition’s history and only eight behind former Leicester Tigers and England flanker Neil Back on 59. The fact that 38 of those scores have come in the colours of the Chiefs shows the significant impact the 33-year-old has made since he arrived at Sandy Park from the Tigers during the summer...

For those who don’t know, Sandy Park is one of the latest properties available on the new edition of Exeter Monopoly that was unveiled just a few weeks ago in the city.

Well, after this, maybe Rob Baxter and his Chiefs side have already used their ‘Get out of Jail’ card as they overcame fellow high flyers Harlequins in a hard-fought Aviva Premiership encounter at the Devon venue.

Fly-half Gareth Steenson led the way for the Devonians, scoring one of two tries in his own personal points haul of 21 points.

Anyone aged between 17 and 65, weighing more than 50 kg (7 stone 12lbs) and in general good health could potentially start saving lives by becoming a blood donor. There is no upper age limit for donors who have donated in the last two years

There are two donor sessions - 1.15pm-3.30pm and 4.45pm-7.30pm.
