Ned Boulting, ITV’s lead Tour de France commentator, will be returning to Exeter’s Corn Exchange on Friday 14th October with his one-man stage show to provide a fresh assault on your cycling senses.

The cunningly entitled “Re-Tour de Ned” is an indispensable theatrical road map for anyone aspiring to wear the yellow jersey on the Champs Elysées: a really very rough guide to the tactics (pedal faster) and challenges (not pedalling fast enough) which will need to be deployed to win the biggest bike race in the world.

Exeter City debut big screen

A giant new electronic screen at Exeter City Football Club’s ground, St James Park, has finally made its debut.

The club was given permission for the 29 x 17-feet (8.64 x 5.12 metre) LED screen by the city council around the start of the season last August, but delays meant fans had to wait until Saturday to see it in action for the first time.

It is situated behind the St James Road away end, nearest the recently built Stagecoach Adam Stansfield Stand, and will include pre-match videos, team news, the attendance...

UK Theatre have announced that it is continuing its nationwide Love Your Local Theatre campaign, which offers National Lottery player’s 2-for-1 theatre tickets, until the end of April.

Exeter Northcott Theatre is now offering National Lottery players 2-for-1 tickets to April performances of The Rise and Fall of Little Voice , Jeremiah and Steve Knightley: Songs from the West . Application to build 1,400 new homes at Cranbrook submitted to council

Up to 1,435 new Cranbrook homes, a second neighbourhood centre and a primary school could be built under freshly proposed plans, submitted to the council this week.

An outline planning application, put forward by Persimmon Homes, also includes 10 serviced pitches for gypsies and travellers, the creation of public open space, allotments and land for a cemetery along with a range of other infrastructure to support the proposed development.

An Exeter church has released a courageous vision to launch 100 new churches across the South West of England.

Global business leader and philanthropist Lady Mireille Gillings, PhD, will officially open the cutting-edge new imaging centre which bears her name on International Women’s Day (March 8).

Stagecoach South West confirms changes to fares

Stagecoach South West has confirmed changes to bus fares from 6 March 2022.

The announcement will see prices frozen on app products, saving customers on average 10% compared to the on bus price.

These are the first increases made by Stagecoach South West for nearly three years and reflect the rising costs of running services. Since 2019, costs across the bus industry have risen by around 12%.
