An Exeter care home has taken visiting to a new level with the creation of a dedicated summerhouse for families and friends to use as a dedicated testing area before entering the home to visit their loved ones.
The garden building situated at the front of the Old Rectory Nursing home provides a peaceful place where families can take their lateral flow Covid-19 test and relax for half an hour while awaiting the results.
Manager Kerry Dempsey says: “The summerhouse will be used for one visitor at a time to make it compliant for social distancing and will be thoroughly...

More than 14 million adults go swimming every year, but for the majority of people, this is when they are on holiday, or in their local swimming pool. There are plenty of places in the Exeter area where you can enjoy swimming in the great outdoors and be at one with nature. You won’t need a pound for the locker key, or to swim up and down in lanes: you can just put on your swimwear and jump in.
RGB Building Supplies is delighted to have raised a fantastic £8,400 for Devon Air Ambulance and Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust over the last 12 months.

The bags are used to carry large quantities of aggregates, such as sand, crushed stone and gravel, and RGB had pledged to donate 25p from the...
