RSPCA campaigns for a change in the law to help the charity rehome neglected and abused animals

The RSPCA is calling for a new animal welfare law which will give animals involved in legal proceedings in the South West the chance to be rehomed much more quickly.

Currently, some neglected and abused pets which are rescued by the RSPCA as part of an investigation cannot be rehomed until the case itself has completed, which sadly means some animals can wait months and even years before finding their second chance.

Exeter University students Henry Yannaghas, 21, from Suffolk and Edward Warner, also 21, from Llandudno in North Wales, have set themselves the challenge of running 48 kilometres over the course of 24 hours. Exeter care home keeps activities going for residents in pandemic

The manager of an Exeter care home has rejected media reports that residents are being isolated in their rooms during the pandemic.

M&S Exeter is taking applications for a newly launched work placement programme to enable young people, aged 16-24, to gain valuable experience to help them onto the career ladder.

A couple from the Honiton area have recently been banned from selling puppies and handed a life-time ban on owning dogs, prompting council warnings on buying puppies.

East Devon District Council (EDDC) has recently had a flurry of enquiries regarding the buying and selling puppies as well as complaints of alleged unlicensed breeders during lockdown.
