With the average detached home in the UK worth almost £450k, and the average pension pot worth around £50,000 a ‘Wealth Tax’ set as a low as £500,000 could impact millions of normal Brits

The Wealth Tax Commission this week has published a paper proposing how a one-off wealth tax payable on all individual wealth above £500,000 and charged at 1% a year for five years would raise £260 billion to effectively ‘pay’ for coronavirus.

Businesses across the South West worked more closely together in 2020 despite the economic challenges of the pandemic.

A survey of over 100 companies by Collaborate South West found that over two thirds increased levels of collaboration with other organisations, with 80% believing collaboration to be extremely or very important to their business success moving forward.
