Digital marketing firm extends commitment to region’s tourism industry for third year

A local digital marketing agency is reaffirming its commitment to the region’s tourism industry by supporting two of the biggest events of the year; the Devon and Cornwall tourism awards.

MiHi Digital, which is based on the Devon / Cornwall border, will be sponsoring the the awards for a third consecutive year.

The awards take place every year and recognise the work of hundreds of businesses operating in the region’s tourist industry. From cafés to caravan sites, holiday parks to hotels, they attract hundreds of entries from across Devon and Cornwall with this year breaking...

Lost Weekend is delighted to announce the headliner for the Lost In Music part of the festival will be the amazing Public Service Broadcasting.

The band will bring their spellbinding show to Exeter’s amazing gothic Cathedral on Saturday, October 7.

Judi & Gus set off on coffee and cake tour to raise money for local charity Hospiscare

Local radio and TV personality Judi Spiers has set off with her long term pal, Gus Honeybun to visit as many coffee mornings as they can in September.

Supported by Mercedes Benz of Exeter, who are sponsoring the campaign and who have kindly lent Judi a Cabriolet in which she can zip about the lanes of Devon, the pair will be visiting workplaces, homes and village halls to enjoy some home baking, strong coffee and to give thanks to the lovely people in our community who are raising money for local hospice charity, Hospiscare .

Devon author sets young adult fiction world alight with new YALit trilogy

A Devon author is celebrating after securing a three-book deal with Harper Collins HQ for her young adult fiction series, Book of Fire. To celebrate the 35th anniversary of local charity Hospiscare, Dr Becky Baines, Hospiscare’s Medical Director is getting out of her comfort zone and is asking if at least 35 local people will join her.

Becky has bravely signed up for the Great West Run on 15th Oct 2017, a 13.1 mile run through the heart of Exeter. It’s a brave move because the only other race Becky has previously completed was back in 2015, when she took part in a 10K just to prove to herself she could do it.

A welcome chorus for Exeter Philharmonic Choir’s new Musical Director

Exeter Philharmonic Choir, which has just celebrated its 170th season, is delighted to announce that Howard Ionascu will become its new Director of Music in September, marking a new era in the choir’s long history.

Howard Ionascu has been with the Royal Academy of Music for the last four years, where he is Director of the Junior Academy.
